These skimmers will easily fit in your sump without being raised, which means with a sump level of 9” or lower (EV-120,180) & 10” or lower (EV-240, 400, 1000 & 2000), will eliminate water level variation. All models of the EV Series can be installed for external application as well. As well, on these models there is a ball valve which allows you to control the air going into the skimmers output. The spray injection is amazingly quite. The twist lock collection cup on these units makes a make safe connection without the need for screws. In addition on models EV-120 & 180, there is an option for John Guest (JG) Fitting & standard on all other models, which is normally a few dollars difference. JG Fitting is a great feature which makes the unit ozone operational. In most cases aquarists may use this connection to set up an calcium reactors effluent line directly to it which will help get rid of excessive CO2 so that your pH will be better maintained. We also encourage these skimmers to be operated with AquaC’s auto waste container, which is available in two different sizes.
